I have been a hard polytheist since 2010, ever since a blizzard where I made a (reckless) prayer "to any god who's listening" and found out first hand how funny Loki thought it would be to respond to it. Unfortunately, this meant three things: Loki sent a blizzard, I had the misfortune of having a front row seat to Spongecake Day, and I learned very quickly that Loki is one half of a two-man grift with Odin and I had just been sold a violin.
Over the years, my practice has expanded and I sometimes refer to myself as godsbothered, or sometimes a spiritworker; depending on how I'm feeling about my practice. I have been oathed to Odin for a number of years, with whom I work the most closely these days, and continue to work with Loki. I also have close interactions with Thor, the Oneiroi - Morpheus, Icelos and Phantasos - Aphrodite and every now and again, Hermes.
My first experience of spiritwork came when I was a child, and I had an 'imaginary friend' called the Dreamfather. As a monotheist growing up, I assumed they were an OC; then, as an adult, I did a lot of spiritwork to find out who they were and was told to wait for the right time. Eventually, I learned that my guardian bear was Morpheus.
I used to be fairly active on Witchblr - the tumblr witchy community - but in recent years have been a bit more solitary. (You might know me in certain circles as the guy who decided to give Odin a poptart as an offering once. For some reason, telling that story went viral. There was art!)
I used to run the blog 'Historical Oracle', but for life reasons I've let the domain lapse. I do want to get back to it one day, though. I write devotional poetry, and make print-and-play tarot decks. (Links to be added, in the future.) One or two friends still know me as Godskeeper.
In addition to working with deities, I also do divination, and sigilwork - and a lot of random magic with melted icicles, which has meant a lot of hanging out the second storey window of my house and then hurriedly hiding from passers-by. I read tarot - and collect decks - and sometimes oracle cards, as well as the elder futhark. I also practice tasseomancy (reading tea leaves) and onieromancy (analyzing dreams). Keep an eye on my social media, because I sporadically offer free readings.
